Eco-investments are booming in Italy: almost one in three companies have invested in the ecological turnaround. This is what emerged from the GreenItaly report of the Symbola and Unionecamere Foundation: over 432 thousand companies that, in 2019, have converted to the green economy. The highest number ever.
The choice of companies to convert to the circular economy has important implications not only from the point of view of environmental sustainability, but also from an economic and employment point of view. There are 3.1 million green jobs currently active in Italy, equal to 13.4% of the total employed at national level. Compared to 2018, green employment has increased by +3.4% compared to +0.5% of other professional figures.
In fact, the fashion industry is slowly trying to convert its supply chain in favor of a sustainable product, not without some sacrifice in terms of costs, required today by both the company and the final consumer. Small economic sacrifices that will lead to the only possible productive solution of the future, the sustainable one.
