N.35 | 2019, ONE COMPANY IN THREE HAS INVESTED IN THE ECOLOGICAL TURNING POINT

Eco-investments are booming in Italy: almost one in three companies have invested in the ecological turnaround. This is what emerged from the GreenItaly report of the Symbola and Unionecamere Foundation: over 432 thousand companies that, in 2019, have converted to the green economy. The highest number ever.

The choice of companies to convert to the circular economy has important implications not only from the point of view of environmental sustainability, but also from an economic and employment point of view. There are 3.1 million green jobs currently active in Italy, equal to 13.4% of the total employed at national level. Compared to 2018, green employment has increased by +3.4% compared to +0.5% of other professional figures.

We are happy and very proud to have taken this road since 2008. The green economy has in fact been, in these difficult years, the best response to the crisis, a road that looks ahead and faces the challenges of the future by crossing the deep nature of our economy, and which has led us to become partners of important companies and established fashion houses, with a precious know-how and a cultural background in the sector of sustainable design and ethical fashion ten years long, which today we have the pleasure of putting available.

In fact, the fashion industry is slowly trying to convert its supply chain in favor of a sustainable product, not without some sacrifice in terms of costs, required today by both the company and the final consumer. Small economic sacrifices that will lead to the only possible productive solution of the future, the sustainable one.
