Eco-friendly bathroom products

Have you ever wondered what you can do, in your own small way, to make the world a better place?
In this article we would like to propose a little challenge for this summer: let's try together to replace 10 single-use products that often populate our homes with reusable alternatives.
We assure you that it is much easier than it sounds!

Regenesi is a sustainable brand and that is why we believe we should be the first to set an example, trying to implement the use of eco-friendly solutions in our everyday lives. Reducing the use of disposable products by choosing durable alternatives is the first step towards a low-waste home and a world with less waste.

Let's start with 10 examples of very common products:

1. Disposable cotton disks
To replace the classic cotton disks we all know, we can recommend buying cotton make-up remover pads. Cleaning them is very simple: just wash them after each use with soap and they can be cleaned in the washing machine at 60 degrees. These products are very easy to find, although they are not very common. They can be bought in any personal care shop or on the Internet.

2. Paper napkins
Stop using the usual disposable kleenex and recover your grandmother's old cotton handkerchiefs, a vintage solution, but certainly efficient in terms of eco-sustainability. These too can be washed easily in the washing machine at 60 degrees.

3. Replace old towels with GOTS-certified organic cotton towels
The textile industry contributes greatly to the pollution of the entire planet. GOTS-certified cotton (Global Organic Textile Standard) complies with an international standard that certifies ecological and social compliance according to predetermined criteria. Finding this product is not as difficult as it sounds, try here

4. Your smartphone cover
Here is another sustainable and, I might add, stylish choice: smartphone covers made of biodegradable material allow you to preserve and embellish your phone while protecting the environment. These covers are now available from almost all retailers and can also be purchased online.

5. Plastic kitchen film
You may not be aware of it, but film is one of the most common wastes worldwide. In its place, you can use washable beeswax wrappers, which can perfectly preserve our food. Here is an example.

6. Washing detergent in plastic packaging
You can fill your old detergent bottle with bulk product, so no more detergent bottles will end up in your household plastic waste.

7. Disposable plastic toothbrushes
You can replace your toothbrush with a bamboo version or the solution
could be to start using an electric toothbrush, although in this case the brush head is disposable.

8. Liquid soap
This is one of the simplest and most economical changes: use soap with paper packaging instead of liquid soap in the plastic dispenser.

9. Deodorant
Alternatively, you can choose a potassium stone deodorant or baking soda powder: just apply some under the armpits with your fingers or a sponge.

10. Disposable or plastic food containers
Do not buy any more trays or jars for food storage, but recycle the glass jars in which the food was already contained: this way you use less plastic and choose a material already suitable for contact with food. To peel off the label, simply soak them in hot water.

And now all you have to do is try to take these simple ten steps towards a more sustainable future with us!
