Michela Gattermayer was born in 1958 and she's one of the most influential and esteemed names in Italian fashion journalism, recognized for her innovative approach (not only to the fashion world but also to cinema, design and costume) and for her capacity to anticipate trends. 

She invented and directed the monthly magazine Velvet in the early 2000s; she worked at Donna, Grazia, Vanity Fair and Gioia and she's now deputy director of Elle magazine.
