The Jury of ilSole24Ore and Financial Times chose to award Maria Silvia Pazzi for her innovative woman-led start-up and Benefit Society Regenstech, a company that stands out for promoting an innovative entrepreneurial vision, sustainably transforming fashion industry waste and leading to tangible results with high social value.
The Regenstech project, born in 2019, has a clear and ambitious goal: to become the technological solution of reference for transforming industrial and civil textile waste into second raw material (MPS) with plastic property. After developing more than 80 formulations and conducting extensive testing, both in the laboratory and at the industrial level, Regenstech has proved the efficacy and reliability of its technology by reaching important steps in its growth path. An initial round of funding from new investors is currently underway.
The goal is to accelerate the sustainable transition of the textile and fashion industry through the use of an innovative system for transforming textile waste into a unique and versatile material suitable for multiple applications.
