N.68 | A new chapter for sustainable fashion begins in 2025

From January 1st, the European Union introduces mandatory separate collection of textile waste. That’s a fundamental step that finally aligns our sector with other industrial ones already active in the environmental responsibility - from RAEE to packaging, from batteries to tires, up to mineral oil used.

As a native circular company, we see in this innovation not only a simple regulatory compliance, but an extraordinary opportunity. Extended Producer Responsibility pushes to rethink the approach to product design, production and end-to-life management.

The challenge is important: in Europe, each person produces around 12 kg of textile waste per year, but less than 15% is correctly separated. It’s time to actively lead this transition instead of suffer it.

So it’s essential to:

  • Reinvent the design of products and the processes in a circular way;
  • Focus on innovate, sustainable, recycled and recyclable materials;
  • Develop business models centered on recovery and recycling;
  • Integrate circularity processes into the DNA of Textile and Fashion companies;
  • Make the consumers protagonists of circular economy.

And you, how are you transforming your business for a more sustainable future? In you are looking for a travel companion who has been taking care of it for 16 years, here we are.
