Giulio Iacchetti is a simple, fresh and intuitive industrial designer since 1992; he designs for various brands such as Abet Laminati, Alessi, Artemide, Fontana Arte, Foscarini, Ifi, Magis, Pandora design and he is the artistic director of Abet Laminati and Dnd handles.
Among his distinctive characteristics are the research and definition of new object typologies such as Moscardino, a multipurpose biodegradable cutlery, designed with Matteo Ragni for Pandora Design and awarded in 2001 with the Compasso d’Oro.
Always attentive to the evolution of the relationship between artisanship and design, in November 2012 he launched Internoitaliano, the “diffused factory” made up of many artisan workshops with which he signs and produces furnishings and accessories inspired by Italian doing and living. At the same time he continued his personal research towards new design themes, such as the cross that inspired the exhibition “Cruciale”, held at the Museo Diocesano in Milan, in the Basilica of Santo Stefano Rotondo in Rome and at the Castello di Lombardia in Enna.In 2014 he won his second Compasso d’Oro for the Sfera series of manhole covers, designed with Matteo Ragni for Montini.
